Dashboard X — privacy and terms in short
Last updated: 19 September 2026 · This summary is updated whenever the two documents are.
This page is a plain-English summary of the Privacy policy and the Terms of service for the Dashboard X app. The full documents are what govern — if anything here differs from them, they apply.
Privacy in short
- What we collect: your email address and password (stored as a hash), or the name, email and photo Google shares if you sign in with Google; an optional profile name and photo; the finance data you type in or import (accounts, transactions, transfers, categories, budgets, scheduled transactions, CSV rows); your device's timezone, stored once so dates are your local dates — it is not a location; and what you send us through support or feedback, with the app and Android version and the screen you were on. Privacy §1
- What we don't: we do not connect to your bank or pull transactions automatically. The app asks for no permission other than internet access and does not read your contacts, location, files or other apps. Privacy §1
- No ads, no selling, no profiling: we show no advertising, do not sell your data or share it for marketing, do not build profiles from it, and use no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs and no cookies. Privacy §1–2
- Where it lives: in a Supabase database in the European Union (Frankfurt), which also handles sign-in and file storage. Resend sends the verification and password-reset emails; Google is involved only if you choose Sign in with Google; Google Play distributes the app. These providers may not use your data for their own purposes, and we share it with no one else unless the law requires it or the service must be protected from abuse. Privacy §3
- How long we keep it: transactions you delete in the app are kept for 30 days so they can be undone, then permanently removed. Deleting your account removes your profile, financial data, photos and support attachments immediately and permanently; only the email address stays on a block-list for 30 days, so it cannot be re-registered by accident, and is then purged. Privacy §4
- Your rights: see and correct your data in the app; export your transactions as a CSV file (Transactions → Export); delete your account (Settings → Delete account, or email us); object to a use of your data or ask us about it. We aim to reply within a few days, and at the latest within 30 days where the law requires it. In the UK or EU you can also complain to your data-protection authority. Privacy §5
- Security: everything travels over HTTPS; database access rules keep each account to its own rows; passwords are hashed. No system is perfectly secure — if yours were breached, we would tell you. Privacy §6
- Adults only, and how to reach us: you must be 18 or older to use Dashboard X. Questions about your data go to support@mugu-labs.com. Privacy §7, §9

Terms in short
- Your licence: a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Dashboard X on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal finances. The app, its design and its code belong to Mugu Labs. Terms §1
- Your account: you must be at least 18. You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure and for everything done with your account, and you need a working email address to verify it and recover a lost password. Terms §2
- Acceptable use: do not try to reach data that isn't yours or interfere with the service, send abusive or deceptive content through support or feedback, reverse-engineer, copy or resell the app (except where the law allows), or use automated tools against our servers. Terms §3
- Not financial advice — check the figures: Dashboard X records and shows your own finances; it is not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice and verifies nothing you enter. Balances, budgets and analytics come from what you type in and import, so a typo, a missed entry, a mismatched import or a bug can make a figure wrong. Check important numbers against your bank before relying on them; we are not responsible for decisions based on what the app shows. Terms §4
- Your data stays yours: we may store and process it only to provide the app to you, as the privacy policy describes. You can export your transactions as CSV at any time and delete your account — and with it your data — from inside the app. Terms §5
- Free today: Dashboard X is free of charge. If a paid plan is ever introduced we will say so clearly and well in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement. Terms §7
- "As is", availability and liability: we cannot promise the app will always be up, and features may be added, changed or removed — if a change takes away something important, we tell you in the app first. To the extent the law allows, Mugu Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or revenue, including losses that follow from a figure in the app being wrong. Terms §6, §9
- Ending the agreement, and governing law: you can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms and, where we can, will say why; if Dashboard X is ever discontinued, you get reasonable notice to export your data. The terms are governed by the laws of Kenya and its courts, unless the law where you live gives you protections that cannot be waived. Terms §8, §10
