Introduction

These terms are the agreement between you and Mugu Labs ("Mugu Labs", "we", "us", "our") for using the Dashboard X app for Android and the account that comes with it (together, "Dashboard X" or "the app"). By creating an account or using the app you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

They are written in plain English on purpose. Where they say "you", they mean the person who created the account.

1. Your licence to use the app

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Dashboard X on Android devices you own or control, for your own personal finances. The app, its design and its code belong to Mugu Labs; the licence does not give you any rights to them beyond using the app as intended.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and your device secure, and for everything done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, change your password from the sign-in screen and tell us.
• Give us a working email address — it's how you verify the account and recover a lost password.

3. Acceptable use

Use the app for what it's for. In particular, don't:

• try to reach data that isn't yours, or interfere with the service or other people's use of it;
• send abusive, unlawful or deceptive content through support or feedback;
• reverse-engineer, copy or resell the app, except where the law allows it;
• use automated tools against our servers.

5. Your data

Everything you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the app to you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your transactions as a CSV file at any time, and you can delete your account — and with it your data — from inside the app.

6. Availability and changes

We work to keep Dashboard X available, but we can't promise it will always be up, and it may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We may add, change or remove features. If a change would take away something important, we'll tell you in the app first. Keeping an export of your data is a sensible habit.

7. Price

Dashboard X is free of charge today. If we ever introduce a paid plan we will say so clearly, well in advance, and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we reasonably believe is being used to harm the service or other people; where we can, we'll tell you why. We may also discontinue Dashboard X, with reasonable notice so you can export your data.

9. Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Mugu Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit or revenue, arising from your use of — or inability to use — Dashboard X, including losses that follow from a figure in the app being wrong. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and any dispute will be handled by the courts of Kenya, unless the law where you live gives you protections that cannot be waived.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date, and tell you in the app before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
